Erik & Lily’s Joyous Summer Wedding at Rustique Barn

As the sun began to rise on July 27th, 2024, there was a sense of excitement and love in the air at Rustique Barn in Delano, Minnesota. Surrounded by sprawling fields and under a wide-open sky, Erik and Lily were about to embark on one of the most memorable days of their lives. It was a day filled with joy, laughter, and tender moments that reflected the love they share, not just with each other, but with their family and friends.

The day began in the cozy, rustic spaces of Rustique Barn, where Lily and her closest friends and family gathered to start the preparations. There’s something magical about those quiet moments before the whirlwind of the day truly begins, and this was no exception. The morning was filled with the buzz of excited conversation and the occasional burst of laughter. Lily, with her radiant smile and calm demeanor, was the picture of a bride ready to say "I do." As she slipped into her stunning wedding dress, the room was filled with love and smiles. First looks have a way of creating some of the most unforgettable moments on a wedding day. The first of these moments was with Lily’s bridesmaids, who were all lined up, eager to see their friend transformed into a bride. The room erupted in applause and happy tears as Lily made her entrance, her beauty and happiness lighting up the space.

Next, Lily shared a tender moment with her brother, Charlie. The bond between them was evident as they exchanged smiles and words of love and support. It was a quiet, meaningful pause in the day that spoke volumes about their connection and the journey they’ve shared together.

Dinner was a feast to remember, featuring Chicken Breast in Wine Sauce, Pork Loin in Rosemary Sauce, Caesar Salad, Honey Glazed Carrots, Mashed Potatoes and Gravy, and Dinner Rolls. The meal was a delightful mix of comfort and elegance, perfectly fitting for a celebration of this magnitude. After dinner, the speeches began, each one adding another layer of love and warmth to the evening. The Father of the Groom and Best Man Randy, and the Maid of Honor Erica all shared stories and memories that brought laughter and tears to the room. They spoke of Erik and Lily’s journey, their love for each other, and the joy they bring to everyone around them. These speeches were a testament to the couple’s character and the impact they’ve had on those who know them best.

Cutting the cake was another sweet moment, both literally and figuratively. Erik and Lily shared a delicious dessert with their guests, a perfect end to the meal and a symbol of the sweetness that life together brings. The first dances were next for the evening's events.
