September 14th, 2024, was a warm and humid early fall day—one of those Minnesota days where the golden leaves begin to peek through, and yet the air still feels thick with summer’s last breath. For Ben and Mollie, it was a day filled with laughter, joy, and a deep sense of love, as they embarked on the next chapter of their lives together.

The day began at Mollie’s childhood home, where the energy was infectious. Bridesmaids bustled around, chatting excitedly, while a few extra-special family members added their own warmth to the day. The atmosphere in the house was filled with laughter, the kind that only happens when surrounded by the people who have known you the longest. Mollie’s joy was palpable as she got ready, surrounded by those she loves most.

There’s something incredibly special about being in the space where so many memories were made—now adding this unforgettable day to the collection. The house was full of energy, and the excitement built as the time approached for her to see Ben for the first time on their wedding day. Mollie looked radiant in her intricately detailed wedding dress, complete with a stunning cathedral veil that flowed gracefully behind her.

Ben and Mollie’s first look took place in the courtyard of St. Timothy’s Church, a beautiful spot that offered both the serenity and significance of the moment. Ben stood there with anticipation, his back turned, waiting to see his bride. The warm breeze carried a sense of excitement as Mollie made her way toward him, the hem of her dress gently brushing the ground as her veil trailed behind. When Ben turned around to see her for the first time, the smile that broke across his face said it all—pure love, admiration, and a little bit of awe. The two shared a sweet, intimate moment, exchanging private vows that reflected their journey together and the love they hold for each other. It was a moment just for them, before the whirlwind of the day swept them into the celebration ahead.

Afterward, Beth Braatz Photography captured some portraits of the two of them, framed by the lush greenery of the church courtyard. The golden September light filtered through the trees, making for some stunning shots. Ben and Mollie’s love was effortless and genuine, and every smile, every look, spoke volumes. With the first look complete, the bridal party joined the couple for more photos. This group was full of fun and love, and it was clear that they shared a deep connection with Ben and Mollie. The bridesmaids and groomsmen were playful and full of energy, bringing their own personalities into the photos and making sure everyone had a great time. Back inside the church, family portraits were took before the ceremony, capturing moments that would become cherished memories for years to come. The love between Ben and Mollie’s families was undeniable, and these photos reflected the bonds that had helped shape them into the people they are today. After the photos, there was a short break for some rest and relaxation before the ceremony. The excitement was building, but there was also a calmness in the air—a sense of peace and gratitude for the day unfolding before them. Ben and Mollie’s ceremony was a traditional Catholic mass, held in the beautiful sanctuary of St. Timothy’s. The church was filled with friends and family, all gathered to witness the couple’s commitment to each other in the sacrament of marriage. The priest shared touching words about Ben and Mollie’s love story, using sentiments they had shared with him during their marriage preparation. It was clear from his words that their relationship is built on a foundation of kindness, unwavering support, admiration, and love. He spoke about how Ben and Mollie make each other better versions of themselves, and how their love is a gift to everyone around them. The vows they exchanged were filled with emotion, and as they placed the rings on each other’s fingers, there were smiles and happy tears all around. The ceremony was a beautiful reflection of their faith, their love, and their commitment to building a life together. As the priest pronounced them husband and wife, Ben and Mollie shared an excited first kiss, sealing their vows with joy. The guests, beaming with happiness, congratulated the couple as they made their way down the aisle, now officially Mr. and Mrs. After the ceremony, it was time to celebrate! The bridal party hopped on the bus, and the first stop on their journey was Ney Park for a few more photos. With the pressure of the ceremony behind them, everyone was a bit more relaxed, and the photo session took on a fun, carefree vibe. Poses became more spontaneous, and the playful energy of the group was infectious. One of the most touching details of the day was Mollie’s bouquet, which had a special charm attached—a small photo of her late father. Although he couldn’t be there in person, Mollie carried him with her in spirit, close to her heart, as she walked down the aisle and throughout the day. The charm was a beautiful tribute to the man who had shaped so much of who Mollie is today, and it was a reminder that love never truly leaves us, even when our loved ones are gone.

After Ney Park, the party bus headed to Up The Creek for a quick drink and a chance to unwind before heading to the reception. The group’s laughter filled the air, and it was clear that this was going to be a night to remember. When the bridal party arrived at The Park Event Center, they made their grand entrances in style. The energy in the room was electric as each couple made their way in, some shotgunning drinks and one groomsman even pulling off a backflip! It was a lively start to the evening and set the tone for what was to come. Before dinner was served, the mothers of the bride and groom took a moment to share a few loving words and lead the guests in a prayer. It was a beautiful moment of reflection and gratitude, grounding the celebration in love and family. Dinner was a feast, with everyone enjoying the delicious spread while laughter and conversation filled the room. As the bridal party made their rounds, they started selling raffle tickets to raise money for Ben and Mollie’s honeymoon. It quickly turned into a friendly competition, with the bridal party running around the room, trying to sell the most tickets and adding to the fun of the evening. After dinner, it was time for the speeches. Mollie’s sister, Morgan, who served as Maid of Honor, delivered a heartfelt speech that highlighted the deep bond between the sisters and how proud their dad would be of Mollie on this special day. There wasn’t a dry eye in the room as she spoke about the love and strength Mollie carries with her. Ben’s best friend and Best Man, Brock, shared some light hearted stories from their childhood, as well as the sweet moments that led up to Ben and Mollie’s relationship. His speech was filled with love and admiration for his friend, and his words perfectly captured the joy of watching Ben and Mollie come together. After the speeches, the fun continued with a game of Lonely Chair Island. Selected guests had to search for specific items from the crowd, and just like musical chairs, a chair disappeared after each round. Laughter filled the room as the game progressed, and it was a great way to keep the energy up before the dancing began. The dance floor officially opened with Ben and Mollie’s first dance as husband and wife. They moved together gracefully, their love for each other evident in every step. Then, Mollie shared a sweet, emotional dance with her mom, in honor of her late father. The song “You Should Be Here” by Cole Swindell played softly in the background, and it was a moment that touched everyone in the room. Ben and his mom shared their own special dance, a reflection of the deep bond between mother and son. It was clear from the way they smiled and laughed together that their relationship is full of love. Once the formal dances were over, the bridal party didn’t waste any time getting everyone out on the dance floor. The energy was high, and it wasn’t long before the dance floor was packed with guests celebrating Ben and Mollie’s love. From classic hits to modern tunes, everyone danced the night away, the joy of the day radiating from every corner of the room. Ben and Mollie’s wedding day was a beautiful, heartfelt celebration of love, family, and friendship. From the tender moments shared during the first look to the wild fun on the dance floor, every part of the day was a reflection of who they are as a couple and the deep love they share. It was a day filled with laughter, a few tears, and countless moments that will be remembered for a lifetime. Here’s to Ben and Mollie—may your journey together be as full of love and joy as your wedding day. Congratulations!
