On August 24th, 2024, Zach and Jade’s wedding day was just beautiful. Held at their charming home, this warm and sunny day was filled with love, laughter, and a whole lot of personality. From the laid-back preparations to the heartfelt ceremony and the lively reception, every detail of their wedding reflected the couple’s unique style and the deep connection they share. The day began with a flurry of activity as the bridal party got ready. The guys gathered in the shed, enjoying the camaraderie and anticipation of the day ahead. Meanwhile, the girls prepared in the house, where Shelby and Mariah Jackson worked their magic with hair and makeup. They did a beautiful job, enhancing each person's natural beauty. Despite the warm temperatures, the excitement in the air was palpable, and the bridal party didn’t let the heat dampen their spirits. Once everyone was dressed and ready, it was time for one of the day’s most anticipated moments: Zach and Jade’s first look. They chose to have this special moment right behind their ceremony space in their backyard, a private and serene spot that felt just right. When Zach turned around to see Jade in her wedding dress, the look on his face said it all—pure love and joy. They shared a sweet, emotional moment together, taking in the significance of the day and the journey that had brought them to this point. After their first look, Jade had a quick but thoughtful first look with her dad. The connection between them was evident, and it was clear how much this moment meant to both of them. The father-daughter bond is something truly special. With the first looks complete, it was time to capture some stunning bride and groom portraits. The backyard and surrounding area provided a picturesque setting, with the warm sunlight creating a beautiful, golden glow. Zach and Jade’s love for each other shone through in every photo, making these portraits truly memorable. Next, we moved on to bridal party photos. The girls were full of giggles, their happiness and excitement contagious. The guys, on the other hand, were up to their usual antics, bringing plenty of laughter and energy. It was a joy to see how much fun everyone was having, and the photos reflected the close bonds between Zach, Jade, and their siblings and friends. After a few family photos, we had a little time to rest and cool off before the ceremony. The day was warm, but the brief break allowed everyone to recharge and get ready for the main event. As guests began to arrive, they were greeted with a unique touch—a beer and a shot to save for the end of the ceremony. It was a fun and personal way to welcome everyone to Zach and Jade’s special day. Guests then found their seats on hay bales arranged in the backyard, with tractors and a corn crib creating a quintessentially Minnesotan backdrop. The ceremony itself was anything but traditional, but it perfectly reflected Zach and Jade’s personalities. Filled with jokes, laughter, and plenty of love, it was clear that this couple knows how to have fun and doesn’t take themselves too seriously. After they were pronounced husband and wife, the bridal party and their significant others hopped onto a hay wagon pulled by a tractor for a celebratory ride during cocktail hour. The ride included a pit stop at the local small-town bar, where they enjoyed some drinks and a round of pull tabs. While the bridal party enjoyed their hay wagon ride, the guests were treated to snacks, drinks, and socializing in the shed, where the reception would later take place. The shed had been transformed into a welcoming and festive space, perfect for the evening’s celebrations. As the sun began to set, the bridal party returned to the house for the grand entrance. Each member of the bridal party made their entrance with style, twirls, cheers, and even toy pedal tractors, adding to the fun and laid-back atmosphere of the day. Then, Zach and Jade arrived as the Johnsons for the first time, greeted with cheers and applause from their family and friends. Dinner was a delicious BBQ-style meal featuring mac and cheese and corn on the cob, perfect for a summer evening. The food was a hit with the guests, providing a comforting and hearty meal that fueled everyone up for the night ahead. After dinner, it was time for the dances. Jade shared a sweet and emotional dance with her dad, while Zach had a touching moment dancing with his mom. These dances were a beautiful reflection of the love and support that both Zach and Jade have from their families. Then it was time for Zach and Jade’s first dance as a married couple. Surrounded by their friends and family, they swayed to "Next Thing You Know", completely wrapped up in each other. The first dance is always such a special moment, and Zach and Jade’s was no exception—it was clear to everyone watching just how much they mean to each other. With the formal dances complete, it was time for the real party to begin. The bridal party was first on the dance floor, setting the tone for a night of celebration and fun. The music was lively, the dance moves were impressive, and the energy was high as everyone came together to celebrate Zach and Jade’s new chapter as husband and wife. Throughout the evening, guests also took advantage of the beautiful outdoor space, enjoying the nice sunset that filtered through the trees. It was the perfect setting for a summer wedding, providing a lovely backdrop for photos and a peaceful escape from the dance floor. Zach and Jade’s wedding day was everything they could have hoped for—a perfect blend of love, laughter, and fun, shared with the people who mean the most to them. Their home provided the ideal setting for this special day, creating an intimate and personal atmosphere that truly reflected who they are as a couple. Zach and Jade’s wedding was a celebration of their love, their community, and the life they’ve built together, and it was an honor to be part of it. Congratulations to the Johnsons on a beautiful wedding day and an even more beautiful future together!
